Teachers day celebration :

    It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future.VGI celebrates teachers day every year on 5th September, birthday of Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. who explained that on this day we pay regards and gratitude to our teachers for guiding us as a torch bearer to grow further in our life and achieve our goals. He also acknowledged it as noble profession and that teachers are creators who create students as officers, engineers, doctors and above all good human beings for the society.

    On this day, Students and faculties joyfully gathered and celebrate the day. Students organize different games and give a token of respect to their teachers. At the end of function cake ceremony is organized to do the honor.

Fresher’s Party (oorja-18) :

    College organize fresher’s party for the fresher’s every year. The theme of this party was OORJA. Fresher’s Party is organized by second year students to have a good communication with the juniors and to welcome the juniors in their college. The main aim of this party is to give a warm welcome to the new comers. Such parties not only build their confidence but also add creativity to their levels.

    It is accompanied with so many colorful events and programs like ramp walk, traditional, fusion, and western dances, exhilarating singing performances, and splendid decoration, thus making it a soulful day for every newcomers. Juniors will have to perform and show their talents. At the end of the party seniors gives the tag of Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher to the best performer of the day.

Techfest- Technovation-2K18 :

    Techfest is celebrated in VGI to serve to be the ideal destination for the millennial to learn, create and experience the beauty of technology. We organize the technical fest “TECHNOVATION” every year for the students. Here, at “TECHNOVATION” we truly believe that this can be done by having competitions and letting people crave for the best. In the process, everyone from the society will eventually lead to a better place. Technovation serves as a prism to the masses to refract innovation through their own perspectives and creation and proffers leadership in full colors.

    It is rightly said that each one of us learns through errors. Keeping this in mind, the college gives a free hand to students to host this event and commit mistakes and learn from the same. Our aim is that the students learn the lessons of leadership, team work, team building, working in challenging and stressful circumstances, hospitality and endless is the list of learning.

The various events were organized in this TECHFEST like Model Presentation, Circuit making, Best out of waste, Technical Quiz, Business Tycoon, Poster Presentation, Website Designing, Coding Mania, Online Games, Math’s Skill, Senso Smart, 3D Model Recognition, Paper presentations etc. In Technovation-2K18, we received more than 800 entries in different events. All the winners was appreciated with trophy, certificate and cash prize for each event held in two days techfest.

Prof. H.R. Singh (Ex. Scientist), Thakur Dhirendra Pratap (MLA,BJP), Mr. Vineet Jaiswal(SP, G.B. Nagar) and Shri Sunil Jindal (Secretary,VGI) were the chief guest . They visited each event and appreciated each and every participant.

Biogas Model, Earthquake Resonance Building, Rain Harvesting model etc were the main attraction of this mega event.

Diwali Mela :

It was a fun day for the students of VGI. They organized a Diwali Mela - Fun, food and fiesta; these are the three things that define the festive season of Diwali for college students. Diwali Melas are a common scenario in India during the festive months of October and November. Various stalls were set up by college students for shopping, food stalls, gaming stalls, dance and singing performance, Rangoli and Menhdi competitions and many such other activities were conducted in this Mela.

    Visiting Diwali Mela with your college gang is always fun, as they give you a chance to complete your Diwali shopping while also gorging upon some delicious food.

Faculty Development Program (11th to 15th Nov 2018)

    One week Faculty Development Programme on “Internet of Things( IOT)” Sponsored by Technical Education Quality Improvement Program Phase III (TEQIP-III) and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is organized from 11th to 15th Nov 2018 in VGI campus. Total 15 experts from industry and academics were invited to deliver the lecture from their different perspective. The aim of this programme is to introduce the participants to the amazing world of Internet and other IOT platforms. IOT is the idea of making devices (namely sensors, actuators and other objects) smarter by linking them to the internet. This FDP serves as a platform to train and educate the research scholars, faculty, and people from industry to interact on cutting-edge technologies in this emerging area. This faculty development training program is intended to provide opportunity for teaching faculties employed in affiliated colleges of the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University for teaching and upgrading their knowledge in the areas of IOT.

    Major Course Contents: The major topics that would be covered in FDP are:

  • Introduction to Sensors and IOT
  • Introduction to Internet of Things and its Applications
  • Data management and big data analytics in IOT
  • Security in IOT
  • Research issues and case studies in IOT.

Founder’s day

We celebrate the Founder’s day on 15th December. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Shri Vijay Jindal, Chairman VGI group. The day is started with ‘Hawan’ at Maa Saraswati Temple at VGI. After that a Cricket Match is played by faculty, students , SVP group and Management. A prize distribution ceremony was also organized to appreciate that employee who served with extra efforts. The program ended with the cake cutting ceremony.
