Civil Engineering deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally build environment, including works like road, bridge, canals, dams and building. During the study, the students are exposed to various subjects of Civil Engineering such as planning, drafting (both manual and computer aided), surveying, estimation and costing, construction technology, basis of the highway, railway, bridge, airport tunnel and harbour engineering. The course also offeres adequate exposure to reinforced concrete structure, quality control, material testing. construction management & entrepreneurship, professional practice and office procedures. Students get a feel for an extensive survey, building drawing, irrigation and bridge drawing and structural engineering drawing. They are also exposed to softwares like Autocad & Staad.
